PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Nicola is constantly considering likes to play with and produce projects hoping that one day – well you never know a book perhaps!
Currently she is working with pre-natal women an area that she has a
natural interest in. She also thinks it is important for the ‘mother
to be’ to appreciate and record a very special nurturing time that
in the chaos of new life will be soon forgotten. She likes to study the
changing form of the female and create beautiful images.
“I enjoy approaching my subject as sensitively and naturally as
possible keeping the lighting simple and making use of natural light sources
where I can. I love the work of Sally Mann in her book ‘Family’
it deals with the sensitive nature of summers spent in a cabin within
a natural wooded habitat and draws on notions of children coming of age
the anguish, morals and needs that surround these issues ”
